Every watch in our collection goes through a rigorous review process by our watchmakers to ensure it is an authentic timepiece and meets our quality standards and that of its intended brand. To that end, we guarantee every watch listed on our site to be 100% authentic.

Payments & Shipping

All of our watches are listed in USD. Payments can be made via bank wire transfer. Once a product has been ordered, we will provide an invoice with detailed wire transfer instructions.

Once payment has been received and fully cleared, we will securely package your watch and ship it fully insured via Fedex or UPS. We ship to customers worldwide. Shipping quotes will be provided upon product inquiry. All customs, taxes and duties are not included in the listed price and are the responsibility of the buyer. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please don’t hestitate to contact us.

For Canadian customers, we do accept payments in Canadian dollar. We are available for in-person appointments and order drop off. Please note HST is not included in the listed price and will be added to the order total.

Return Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. We understand that sometimes what you see online and how it appears in person can differ.

To that end, we offer a " no questions asked" 3 day refund on all purchases subject to the following conditions.

Products that have been worn, altered or damaged will not be accepted for a refund.  Any watch may be returned provided the watch is in the exact same condition as it was sold and includes all the boxes, papers, books and accessories (if applicable). Please inform one of our representatives of your intention to return the watch before you ship the merchandise. All return shipments must be post marked before the 3rd calendar day from delivery date of your watch and are sent at your sole cost and expense. Please be sure to insure the contents for their full value as we are not responsible for lost packages.

Upon receipt, all items will undergo a thorough inspection by one of our watch experts to ensure that the watch is in the original condition in which it was sold and it includes boxes, papers, items/accessories, etc. Once inspection has passed successfully, we will process refund payments within 5 business days. We don’t refund shipping and insurance fees. This return policy is for online sales only: all in-person sales are final.

Warranty

Prior to shipment, we ensure that every watch is in proper working condition and is carefully checked by our professional watchmaker team. All watches purchased from discreet peacock include a 1 year warranty that commences from the purchase date of your watch. The warranty includes the mechanical functioning of the watch and any present complications.

Given that we primarily deal with vintage watches, our warranty unfortunately cannot cover everything. Excluded from the warranty are: water damage, turn and push buttons, crystal, bracelet & clasp and the watch strap. Improper use or damage caused by the owner or third parties are not covered by our warranty. The warranty is non transferable and only valid to the original purchaser. The warranty will be void if a third party worked on or opened the watch.

All warranty claims must be directly reported to us and include the original invoice. Customers can initiate a warranty claim by contacting us at hello@discreetpeacock.com.

Once a warranty claim has been approved, we will provide you with detailed shipping instructions. Customers are responsible for shipping costs associated with sending their watch for warranty repair. Discreet peacock will cover the shipping costs to return the repaired watch to you once repairs are completed. Customers receiving their merchandise back will not be reimbursed for any costs associated with incidental customs as it is returned to the customer’s country of residence.

Consignment

Selling your watch privately can be daunting and logistically challenging, not to mention risky. Alternatively, selling directly to dealers may not yield the highest payout. By consigning your watch with us, you will have the best chance of obtaining the best price for your watch in a safe and stress free manner.  

We use our extensive client database and sales platforms to look for a potential buyer for you. We are proactive in our approach, treat your watch as if it is our own, and work with our clients to ensure they are happy with the money they receive in their pocket.

Getting Started

The best way to get started with the consignment process is by filling out the complimentary quote form. Provide as much detail as possible including asking price, model information, condition and as many pictures deemed necessary. Upon reviewing your submission we will reach out to explain terms, fees and provide our opinion on the appropriate market value of your watch.

Agreement

Once all key terms are agreed in good faith, we will email a consignment agreement outlining our arrangement for you to review and electronically sign. We will then follow up with providing a free and fully insured shipping label with detailed instructions on how to safely send your watch to us.

Inspection

Upon arrival, our watchmakers will conduct a thorough inspection for quality, authenticity and timekeeping. This process takes from 5-10 day business days. To meet our quality standards, our watchmakers may recommend a service, part replacement or any other additional work. Any work undertaken on the watch will be agreed in advance and the cost is the responsibility of the owner.

If at this stage you are not in agreement with the recommended work, the watch is identified as counterfeit or not faithful to its initial description, we may refuse to consign your watch and will opt to return the watch to you at your expense.

Fees & Payout

Our consignment fees are commission-based and are collected at time of sale. Our commission fee range from 10-30% depending on the brand, model, condition and overall state of the market. Consignment fees are calculated based on final sale value of the watch. There are no upfront fees.

For example, let’s assume we sourced a buyer and agreed for the final sale price for your watch to be $5,000 USD. A sample payout will look like this:

$5,000 Watch Sale Price (excluding shipping, VAT)

-$500 Commission Fee (assume it is 10%)

= $4,500 Total Payout to You.

If there were any pre-approved work that was done prior to listing the watch for sale (example: service, repair, etc.), these expenses would be deducted from the total payout. We begin processing payout to you once the buyer has received your watch packaged and the 3 day return policy has passed. Once this has occurred, we will wire you your payout within 72 hours.

Term, Cancellations

To ensure maximum exposure, we require a minimum 3 month consignment term. Should you decide to cancel our arrangement prior to the end of our term, you will be charged an admin fee of $150 USD + the cost of return shipping and pre-approved service work performed (if any). If at the end of our consignment term the watch has not sold and you don’t wish to extend our arrangement, we will return your watch free of charge upon payment for any pre-approved service work performed (if any).

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.discreetpeacock.com (the “Site”).

Personal Information we Collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
