Sinnerman.

Sometimes, loving something so intensely feels sinful, like wearing a timepiece that is almost too exquisite to be true. This late 1970s Audemars Piguet embodies that sensation—a watch that demands attention not through bold statements, but through its seamless integration of elegance and design.

Crafted from solid 18K white gold, this piece features a unique checkered finish across the case and integrated bracelet. When you run your fingers across it, you can feel how the texture transitions fluidly between case and bracelet, creating a cohesive design that’s as much a piece of jewelry as it is a timekeeper. Watches with integrated bracelets were the pinnacle of refinement in the 1960s and 70s — a counterpoint to the rugged steel bracelets favored in sports models of the prior decades.

The sleek black dial adds to the watch’s sophisticated charm, punctuated by diamond indices at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, with a double diamond at 12 for extra sparkle. The diamonds offer just the right amount of brilliance to complement the simplicity of the dial without overpowering it, maintaining an overall minimalist aesthetic. The plexiglass offers that warmth we vintage collectors just can't seem to get enough of.

"The designer behind this creation is a bad, bad man."

To add to the sleekness of this piece, it is fitted with the ultra-slim self-winding caliber K 2120, which has a thickness of just 2.45mm and a 21k gold rotor. The movement is based on the Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 920 introduced in 1967, a movement that never appeared in Jaeger-LeCoultre's own watches but was supplied to top-tier brands like Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, and Vacheron Constantin.

What sets this Audemars Piguet apart is its versatility. The understated nature of the white gold, which could easily pass as stainless steel, makes this watch suitable for more fun occasions while also fitting seamlessly into a business setting. Whether at a dinner party or in a boardroom, this watch exudes a quiet confidence that’s both luxurious and reserved.

Excellent condition throughout.

The case still retains it original lines with no signs of over polishing. Both hallmarks and serial numbers are deep and visible on the caseback and buckle.

The bracelet is free of any kinks or cracks.

The dial is clean with lettering still intact and clearly legible.

The plexiglass has a small marking between 10 and 11 o' clock which can be easily buffed out.
