By the 1990s, much of the watch world was getting louder: bigger cases, brighter dials, new materials. Breguet, true to form, moved in the opposite direction. Pieces like the Classique 3325 were a reminder that some ideas don’t need rethinking — they just need to be done right.
This model fits squarely into that philosophy. The 32.5mm 18k yellow gold case wears with easy grace, framed by Breguet’s signature coin-edge fluting. It’s slim and well-proportioned, built to slip under a cuff, not compete with it.
The real star is the dial. Layered guilloché textures start at the outer perimeter and work inward, creating a subtle depth that pulls you toward the center. A brushed silver chapter ring houses the black Roman numerals, crisp and balanced, while the classic blued steel Breguet hands — including a matching blued seconds hand — sweep across the surface with just enough color to catch the eye.
At six o'clock, a neatly framed date window sits exactly where you want it: practical, but not distracting.
The movement underneath is the automatic Caliber 889/1, a refined workhorse with slim dimensions and thoughtful finishing, much in line with the rest of Breguet’s discreet engineering at the time.
The back of the case keeps the conversation going, with an engraved wavy border — a small, almost hidden detail that feels entirely intentional, designed for the wearer rather than the audience.
Attached to the case is the original Breguet leather strap, secured by proper screws instead of spring bars, and finished with an 18k yellow gold Breguet-signed buckle. No shortcuts here either.
Compared to the chronographs and sports models gaining traction in the 90s, the 3325 stayed the course. It wasn’t chasing trends or chasing attention. It was anchoring Breguet’s legacy — the kind of piece made for someone who knows exactly why they're choosing it.
